Vuokraovi.com is a national online service for conveying information about available rental properties and rental needs. Vuokraovi.com gathers all available rental homes into one place, regardless of who owns them. The service includes rental homes owned by private landlords, companies, and foundations as well as the state, municipalities, and towns.
The basic features of the service – searching for homes, submitting of rental applications, and reading of postings – are free of charge. Making of postings is subject to charge, both for agencies and private landlords.
For instructions about using the service, refer to the help text on the site or view the quick help by moving the mouse pointer onto the green question mark. You can display help by clicking the User guide link in the top right corner of any page.
The service is available for the Internet Explorer 6.0, Internet Explorer 7.0, Mozilla Firefox 1.0, and Mozilla Firefox 2.0 browsers and later versions of these. To utilise all functions of the site, check that your browser allows cookies and supports Java and JavaScript. If Java support has not been installed for your browser, you can get it from http://java.com.

The Vuokraovi.com front page includes the most popular features. You can start searching for rentals directly from there: full search, map search, agency search tai quick search. You can also search by the rental number. To select the language of the service – Finnish or English – click the appropriate flag on the front page.
The front page provides direct access to the latest rental properties posted by agencies and private landlords. To search for properties for sale, you are welcome to use the Etuovi.com service.
You may register for or log in to the MyVuokraovi service via the front page. If you have forgotten your username or password, you can obtain a new one by clicking the Forgot username? link. From the front page, you can start making a rental posting or filling in a rental application. You can also access the rental watchdog service and favourites page through the front page. The front page has a Logout link that is displayed if you are logged in to the service.
The most important pages and features of the Vuokraovi.com service are available via the menus at the top of the page. The menus at the bottom of the page provide access to the terms and conditions of use, register information, media card, and Info about Vuokraovi pages and the feedback form.
The Vuokraovi.com service’s versatile search functions allow you to search for homes or other rentals to suit your needs. The available search options include quick search, rental number search, full search, map search, plot search, other, roommate search, and agency search.
The quick search can be accessed from the front page of the service. You can search by property type, number of rooms, amount of rent, or living area. In the Location field, enter the municipality or city name, district, or postal code. If you enter several districts or postal codes, separate these with commas. An example is ‘00100, 00600’.
Click the Search button. The list page shows the results that meet your search criteria.
Enter the number of the rental property in the field and click the Search button. This is a six-digit number that can be found on the rental page, for example. The rental number search can be accessed from the Vuokraovi.com front page.
To access the full search, click the Full search link on the front page or select it from the Search menu at the top of the page.
The full search allows you to specify the search criteria for a rental that is an exact match to your interests. First select the search form tab that best suits your purposes: Full search, Map search, Plot search, Other tai Roommate search. With the Other search, you can search for a garage, garage space, a car shelter, or other parking space; storage space; or a berth.
Then select Finland or Other countries under Location. After this, you can make the location more specific with the Region or Municipality selection. If you select anything apart from Finland for Country, you must enter a city in the City field.
You may select several municipalities or regions at a time. Click the name of the municipality or region to add it to the Selected field. To remove municipalities or regions you have selected, click their names in the Selected field.
In the District, postal code, or street field, you can enter several districts or postal codes separated with commas. An example is ‘00100, 00600’.
Alternatively, you may outline the area on the map by clicking the Selection from map link. Enter the municipality, district, or postal code in the City, district, or postal code field and click the Search button. The area will be outlined on the map. If you choose not to accept the outlining, you can click the No map selection button to return to the full search. With the Accept selection button, you can keep the outlining and return to the full search to add more search criteria.
You can edit the map outlining via the Change map selection link or return to selection of the location via the Discard map selection link.
Select the type of accommodation:
Non-subsidised: A rental home whose rent is decided by the landlord and tenant and whose rental is based on the Act on Residential Leases. Non-subsidised housing is the most common form of rental housing.
Need-based apartment: A rental home with a state loan or interest subsidy. Tenants are selected on a social basis, and the cost-rent principle is utilised.
Bedsit: The tenant has a single room. In addition, there are common rooms, such as the kitchen and bathroom.
Subtenant: The occupier, tenant, or owner of the home sublets some of the rooms to another person.
Senior house: In a senior house, attention is usually paid to unobstructed access and the availability of services. In most cases, one of those moving in must be at least 55 years old.
Assisted-living residence: An assisted-living residence is intended for senior citizens or disabled persons requiring support and help.
Company housing: A company-owned flat rented on the basis of an employment relationship. The employer acts as the lessor.
Student apartment: A home intended for full-time students.
Holiday home: A home not intended for use as a permanent dwelling all year round, such as a summer cottage or another leisure home.
Next, select the desired housing type and number of rooms. If no search criteria options have been selected, e.g., in the Apartment section, the search will return all types of rental homes. If you select even one search criteria option, only the corresponding rentals will be returned.
If desired, you may specify the amount of rent, living area, and year of construction. You can also specify the properties and condition of the home, the availability date, etc.
The last section of the application form is Special terms and sorting. This allows you to select the postings you want to view, filter them by their publishing date, and specify the order in which the rentals matching your search will be listed. By default, the latest postings will be displayed first in the list.
You can find the rentals matching the search criteria with the Search button, clear the form with the Reset button, or save the search criteria in the MyVuokraovi service by clicking the Save watchdog button.
The map search enables you to outline the search area on the map. Outline the desired map view by entering the municipality, district, or postal code in the City, district, or postal code field and clicking the Search button.
You can make the search more specific by adding search criteria, such as the number of rooms. Select the number of rooms – for example, one. If there is a one-room flat available in the area you specified, you will see a symbol on the map. To view information about the rental, point at the symbol with the mouse. By clicking the symbol, you can access the rental page to display more detailed information.
You can change the scale of the map with the slider bar by moving the scale up or down with the mouse or by clicking the plus or the minus button. The arrow buttons in the top left corner of the map allow you to move on the map, or you can use the mouse to move on the map. Keep the left mouse button depressed to move the map in the desired direction. The map search includes satellite and hybrid images as well.
When you select various search criteria, the map shows colour codes according to the Accommodation type selection. The colour codes are explained below the map. For example, if you want to view only the non-subsidised flats in the area, select block of flats as the housing type and non-subsidised as the colour code. The map shows only the rentals that match your search criteria. Click a symbol on the map to access the corresponding rental page.
With the plot search, you can search for plots by selecting the location according to the instructions for the full search.
Alternatively, you may outline the area on the map by clicking the Selection from map link. Enter the municipality, district, or postal code in the City, district, or postal code field and click the Search button. The area will be outlined on the map. If you choose not to accept the outlining, you can click the No map selection button to return to the full search. With the Accept selection button, you can return to the full search to add more search criteria.

If desired, you may specify the plot type, shore type (if any), amount of rent, plot area, and building rights.

The roommate search is used to find shared homes, in which the tenants share the rooms and living costs. To specify the location of the shared home, follow the instructions for the full search. With the Roommate search, you can search for a shared home by housing type and number of flatmates.
Alternatively, you may outline the area on the map by clicking the Selection from map link. Enter the municipality, district, or postal code in the City, district, or postal code field and click the Search button. The area will be outlined on the map. If you choose not to accept the outlining, you can click the No map selection button to return to the full search. With the Accept selection button, you can return to the full search to add more search criteria.

If desired, you may specify the housing type and number of flatmates. If there are currently three people sharing the flat but you are searching for a fourth one, select three as the number of flatmates. You can also specify the amount of rent, the living area, and other properties of the shared home.
The last section of the application form is Special terms and sorting. This allows you to select the postings you want to view, filter them by their publishing date, and specify the order in which the rentals matching your search will be listed. By default, the latest postings will be displayed first in the list.
You can find the rentals matching the search criteria with the Search button or clear the form with the Reset button. With the Save watchdog button, you can make the service watch for rentals that match your search criteria. In addition to information about the home, the rental page will display information about flatmates if the landlord has included these in the posting.
The agency search can be accessed from the Vuokraovi.com front page. With the agency search, you can search for agencies posting available rentals in the Vuokraovi.com service. If you want to find a specific agency, enter its name in the Name field and click the Search button. To search by location, enter the municipality name in the Location field and click the Search button. If you want to find agencies in a certain area, click the name of the region or select the area on the map by clicking the region.
The search returns the agencies in the area. To move between pages, use the Previous and Next links or click the number of the desired page.
To access the details of an agency, click its name. Click the Rentals from this agency link to display the rentals offered by the agency. You can send a message to the agency if you’d like.
The List page shows the rentals that match your search criteria. Information shown for each rental includes a thumbnail image (if an image is available) and other information depending on the rental type. For homes, the information shown includes the home type, size, rent, availability, location, and agency information. If you want to sort the homes by, e.g., size, click the arrow menu at the top of the list at the square metre values. The homes will then be sorted from the smallest to the largest.
You can sort the results also by clicking the title of the desired column in the Sort the list drop-down menu. By default, the search result pages show 10 results at a time, sorted by the posting date and time, the newest first. ‘Uusi 48 h’ (‘last 48 h’), ‘Uusi 24 h (‘last 24 h’), and ‘Uusi 7 vrk’ (‘last 7 days’) are displayed first on the list.
To show more than 10 results per page, click the Show drop-down menu and select a suitable number. To move between pages, use the Previous and Next links or click the number of the desired page.
To edit the search, click the Edit the search button. You can then modify the existing search criteria or perform a new search with the New search button. To print the list page, click the printer icon in the top right corner of the page. You can clear all of the selections made by clicking the Reset button.
If you are logged in to the MyVuokraovi service, you can send the list to friends, save the watchdog and add desired rentals to your favourites.
With the Send list to friends feature, you can e-mail a friend a link to the list page or information about the rentals. You can send the list if you are logged in to the MyVuokraovi service. To ensure that the service follows the Finnish Direct Marketing Association’s recommendations, only a registered user can e-mail information to friends. You should use this feature to send messages only to people you know and who are potentially interested in the content.
Click the Send list to friends button. Enter your friend’s e-mail address in the appropriate field, and write a free-form message to your friend. Click the Send button, or cancel with the Cancel button. The sender’s name and address are automatically taken from your MyVuokraovi registration data. The link included in the e-mail will be active for one week. The Vuokraovi.com service provides the medium for sending of the message. Your friend cannot reply to the message.
Note: The search results displayed to your friend are not necessarily the same as they appeared when you sent them, since new rentals are posted to the Vuokraovi.com service all the time and old rentals are removed from the service.
If you have registered for the MyVuokraovi service and are logged in, you can save a watchdog for your search criteria.
The watchdog watches for new rentals posted. If a new rental matches the criteria you have set for the watchdog service, the service sends you an e-mail message with the appropriate information. The watchdog service is free of charge.
After specifying the desired criteria in the search form, you can save a watchdog for your search criteria. Click the Save watchdog button at the bottom of the search criteria page. Enter a name for the watchdog in the Watchdog name field. By default, the E-mail field is populated with the e-mail address you provided when registering for the MyVuokraovi service. You can change the e-mail address if necessary.
A saved watchdog will be valid for three months by default. Note this when you enter the desired date in the Valid until field. If you want the watchdog to be valid for less than three months, you can specify the date yourself. The date must be of the mm/dd/yyyy format – for example, 3/30/2008. When the validity period expires, the watchdog will be removed from the service.
Click the Save watchdog button. To return to the previous page, click either the Cancel button or the Edit search parameters button.
You can start adding watchdog criteria via the front page, the search page, or the MyVuokraovi service. You can see the number of watchdogs you have saved, on the MyVuokraovi front page. On the Searches and watchdogs tab, you can edit the watchdog, remove it, or send it to a friend. You can order an RSS feed of a saved watchdog via the MyVuokraovi service. From the RSS feed, you can see the rentals matching your saved watchdog criteria in real time, without having to log in to the Vuokraovi.com service.
If you have registered for the MyVuokraovi service and are logged in, you can add individual rentals to your favourites. The list page features checkboxes next to the images of the rentals. Click the desired checkboxes and click the Add to favourites button. The favourites you select are saved in the MyVuokraovi service, and you can remove them with the Remove from favourites button.
Note: If the rental is removed from the Vuokraovi.com service, it is automatically removed from the favourites as well.
By clicking the information of the desired rental on the list page, you can access the rental page. The rental page shows you information about the rental, any images, a virtual show, a video show, and the rental’s location on the map. If the rental is shown on the map, you can zoom the map in and out with the plus and minus signs in the top left corner. If the location of the rental on the map (geocoding) has not been specified or the person who placed the posting has chosen not to show the location, the message ‘No map available’ is displayed.
The six-digit rental number is the unique identifier for the posting. If you know the rental number, you can find the information for the desired rental by entering the number in the search field on the front page.
If you wish to print the rental page, click the printer icon in the top right corner. You can add the rental page to your favourites or send it to a friend. You can also send a contact request to the landlord from the rental page.
If you wish to add a rental page to your favourites, click the Add to favourites button. The rental page will be saved in your favourites in the MyVuokraovi service.
If there is a video show of the rental, click the video show link to view it.
If there is a virtual show of the rental, click the virtual show link to view it.
You can send the rental page to a friend by clicking the Send to friend link. You can send the list if you are logged in to the MyVuokraovi service. You should use this feature to send messages only to people you know and who are potentially interested in the content. The rental page shows you the landlord’s contact information, and you can send a contact request if you so wish. Type your message, add your contact information, and click the Send button.
MyVuokraovi is a service package offered to private landlords and prospective tenants. The MyVuokraovi service requires registration. A prospective tenant can set rental watchdogs, browse rental postings, send rental applications, manage user settings and add or remove favourites.
For a private landlord, the MyVuokraovi service is a quick and easy way of posting to the Vuokraovi.com service rental homes that are or will soon become available.
By registering, you gain access to the MyVuokraovi service. As a registered user, a prospective tenant can save searches and watchdogs, add a rental application, and add or remove favourites. Registration for the MyVuokraovi service is free of charge
Note: Not all features that require registration are free of charge, such as making a rental posting.
Fill in the registration form. Mandatory fields are marked with an asterisk *.
The username must be 4–60 characters long, and it may include uppercase and lowercase letters (a–z) as well as numbers. The password must be 6–30 characters long, and it may include uppercase and lowercase letters (a–z) as well as numbers. Letters of the Finnish alphabet can be entered in the text fields.
Remember to read the terms and conditions of use and accept them. If you wish to allow the use of your information in direct marketing, click the appropriate checkbox. If you want to receive newsletters from Vuokraovi.com, click the Vuokraovi is allowed to send newsletters to me checkbox. Select Finnish or English as the language for the service. When you log in to the service later, it will remember your language selection.
After this, click the Save button. To cancel the information you provided and return to the front page, click the Cancel button. You can change your information in the MyVuokraovi service. The MyVuokraovi front page includes the Edit details link.
If you have registered for the MyVuokraovi service, you can log in to the service with the Login link on the front page or the top right corner of the page. If a feature you select requires login, the service will automatically prompt for this. Enter your username and password in the appropriate fields and click the Login button.
By clicking the Forgot username? link, you can request the service to send your username or a new password to the e-mail address you provided during registration.
Whether you are logged in or not is shown in the top right corner of all pages within the site.
On the Account information request page, you may request a forgotten username or a new password to be e-mailed to you.
To request your username, enter your registration e-mail address in the E-mail field under Forgot your login? and click the Send button.
To request a new password, you need to remember your username and the e-mail address you used to register for the service. Enter your username and e-mail address in the appropriate fields and click the Send button.
To return to the front page, click the Cancel button.
You may log out of the service by clicking the Logout link in the top right corner of the page. The same link is displayed on the front page. Always remember to log out, especially if you are using the MyVuokraovi service on a public computer, such as in a library. If the same computer is used by several people, data security may be compromised. .
Your login session will expire automatically if you do not use the service for a while. In that case, you need to log in to the service again.
When you log in to the MyVuokraovi service, you are directed to the front page. The front page shows information you have saved in the MyVuokraovi service. The tabs include Searches and watchdogs, Rentals, Applications, and Favourites. You can add new watchdogs, searches, rentals, and applications via the Add new link.
The MyVuokraovi front page includes the My info section. You may edit your information, change your password, or create a personal info card. In addition, the MyVuokraovi front page includes information about showcases and RSS feeds.
You may edit your information, change your password, or create a personal info card. By clicking the Edit details link, you can update your contact information and change the direct marketing permission. In addition, you can change your password from this page. If you wish to save the information, click the Save button. To return to the previous page, click the Exit without saving button.
You can change your password also by clicking the Change password button. The password is 6–30 characters long, and it may include uppercase and lowercase letters (a–z) as well as numbers. Enter your current password, new password, and confirmation of the new password in the fields on the page.
Note: The address you provide on this page is used for sending your username and password requests and watchdog messages.
You can create a personal info card with the Create infocard button. You can use the info card when seeking a home via the Vuokraovi.com service. You can tell more about yourself via the info card, including your training, occupation, and hobbies, and add a picture of yourself. The info card provides the landlord with useful background information about you, getting your application noticed. If you have already created an info card, you may edit the information by clicking the Modify infocard button.
After adding your information, you may save the info card with the Save button or cancel with the Exit without saving button.
The RSS feed (file/stream) is read by RSS readers, which usually do not take up much memory. These enable you to subscribe to updated information from Web sites, sent directly to your computer. Information presented in the RSS format may include, for example, searches and watchdogs saved in the Vuokraovi.com service. RSS enables you to receive the searches and watchdogs sent directly to your browser. The benefit of RSS feeds is that users need not visit each of their favourite pages separately, since RSS brings the contents of the pages directly to them.
By subscribing to the Vuokraovi.com RSS feed free of charge, you
will receive information about the latest rentals, sent to your RSS
reader. The feeds are individual and are to be subscribed to separately
for each search and watchdog saved in the MyVuokraovi service. Click
the
button on the Searches and watchdogs
tab of the MyVuokraovi service. You can also use the links on the
MyVuokraovi front page, such as ‘Vuokra-asunnot Tampere’ (‘rentals in
Tampere’).
Save the RSS feed according to your reader’s instructions. You can view the saved feed in your browser. New rentals matching your search or watchdog criteria will be added to the RSS feed list automatically. You can view the basic information for a rental by clicking its title.
Vuokraovi.com RSS feeds are intended for the personal use of Vuokraovi.com users. The title list or rental information in the feed must not be used without permission for public or commercial purposes on Web sites, in mobile applications, or in other media.
You can follow the RSS feed via the online service, with your browser’s RSS reader, or with a separate RSS reader.
Browsers with an RSS reader include Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 which display the
icon on the right side of the address bar when an RSS feed is
available. You can subscribe to the feed by clicking the icon. Internet
Explorer 6 requires an RSS extension, such as RSS Feeds Toolbar for IE.
Separate RSS readers are available either at no cost or subject to charge. Freeware RSS readers for Windows include SharpReader and FeedReader. AIn Apple MacOS X, you can use NetNewsWire. For Linux, there is Straw.
The Searches and watchdogs tab of the MyVuokraovi service shows the searches and watchdogs you have saved. The List rentals link lists the currently available rentals that match your search criteria. You can edit the search, send it to a friend, remove it, or create a new search or watchdog.
You can use the Vuokraovi.com service to post rental homes, residential buildings, flats for subtenants, bedsits, holiday homes, plots, other rentals, and shared homes. A shared home is a dwelling in which the tenants share the rooms and living costs.
A separate posting is to be made for each rental. Posting of a rental is subject to the same terms and conditions that you accept upon registration for the MyVuokraovi service.
If you are logged in to the MyVuokraovi service, you can post a rental directly from the Vuokraovi.com front page. You can also start making a rental posting from the MyVuokraovi page with the Add new button.
Select the rental type and indicate whether you are seeking a principal tenant, subtenant, or other. Then click the Start filling in the form button. To return to the previous page, click the Cancel button.
The steps in filling in the rental posting form include Basic, Housing co., Extra, Pictures, Summary, Payment, and Publication. The number of steps depends on your selections while making the posting.
Mandatory fields in the basic information are marked with an asterisk.
Specify the location (geocoding), address, postal code, and postal area. If you want to show the rental on the map according to the address in the rental information, click Show. The geocoding will take place automatically on the basis of the address you provided. If automatic geocoding fails, the following error message is displayed: ‘No map location could be found with the given address information.’ Return to the previous page and check that you have entered the address correctly.
If you do not want the rental to be shown on the map, click Do not show. The geocoding page will not be shown, and the location of the rental will not be shown on the map.
Specify the residence information. Mandatory information includes the housing type, construction year, living area, flat structure, and room count. Under Features, you can specify the condition of the rental property, any parking space, etc. You can enter any additional information about the rental in the Other information field.
Of the costs, the rent is mandatory information. Other costs may be added under Tenant charges by clicking, for example, the water checkbox. Enter the cost in the appropriate Charges field. Use the drop-down menu to indicate whether the cost is euros per month or euros per year. You can enter any additional information about the costs in the Costs description field.
The validity of the rental contract and the availability of the home are mandatory information. You can enter any other conditions in the Other conditions field. In the Rent payment date field, you may enter the payment date, such as the 15th.
If there will be a showing of the rental property, enter the appropriate information under Display. The display information will be shown on the rental page.

You can enter the next two showing times for the rental: Display 1 and Display 2. Enter the times in the Date (mm/dd/yyyy) and Time (hh:mm) fields. An example is 17:00 - 18:00. You can enter any additional information about the showing in the Display description field.
You can enter free-form text about the rental in the Display information field. This text will be displayed first on the rental page, so it will get a lot of attention.
In the Link for extra information field, you may enter, e.g., a link to your home page or the housing co-operative site for more information about the rental or the agency.
You may exit the form without saving by clicking the Exit without saving button or clear the form with the Reset form button. If you wish to save a draft of the posting, click the Save draft button. The draft will be saved in the MyVuokraovi service, and you can continue making the posting later. To move to the next page, click the Next page button. You can preview your posting by clicking the Preview button.
With the Publish button, you can publish the posting with the basic information, without any images.
If you publish the posting with the basic information, the rental page will show the basic information without any images. The Basic tab includes all of the mandatory information for the rental. However, it is a good idea to provide as much information as possible and include images, since this makes the rental more interesting for applicants.
By clicking the Publish button, you move directly to the summary of your posting. Check the contents of the summary, and move on to payment and publication. For more detailed instructions, click the following links: Summary, Payment and Publication.
If you are posting a rental home, you can fill in the housing co-operative information. Under Housing company properties, you may specify the housing co-operative information, such as the company name, construction company, and house manager. Also, you can enter free-form text in the Renovations made, Future renovations, and Other fields.
You may request the condition rating for the housing co-operative from, e.g., the house manager or housing co-operative board. If a condition check has been done, you can enter the star rating in the field as a number, such as 2. The condition rating (number of stars) depends both on the technical condition of the property and on systematic maintenance. Technical condition is weighted at 80% and systematic maintenance at 20%. There can be a minimum of one and maximum of five stars.
The housing co-operative condition check and the condition certificate prepared on its basis must be handled by a person authorised by the housing co-operative condition certificate committee.

If you are posting a shared home, you can add the pictures, names, and ages of the persons seeking a new flatmate on the Extra tab. You can add more details in the information field, such as hobbies. The information will be saved when you click the Add button. You may also describe the kind of flatmate being sought by entering information in the Wishes about roommates field.
You can upload the desired images by selecting them from your computer. Click the Browse button and find the image file to be uploaded on your computer. The image file format can be TIFF, JPEG, or GIF.
Enter the desired caption in the Caption field. The maximum file size for images is 500 KB. There are no particular limits for the height and width of the image, since the system resizes the uploaded images to an appropriate display size. Click the Add picture button.
On the Pictures tab, you can also remove an image or change the order of the images by clicking the arrows on the side of the image row. The new order will be saved automatically every time you click an arrow.

You can pay for your posting by using any of the following online banking services: Nordea, Osuuspankki, Sampo, Tapiola, Säästöpankki, Ålandsbanken, Handelsbanken or S-Pankki.
Select the desired bank and provide your bank login information. Click the Go to net bank button. This is a secure connection. When you have made the payment in the online banking service, you will be redirected to the Vuokraovi.com service. Please return to the Vuokraovi.com service as instructed, so that our service is able to allocate your payment correctly. If your payment cannot be allocated, we cannot publish your posting.
The Publication tab shows the date on which your posting will be published in the Vuokraovi.com service. The default date is the current date, but you can change the publication date if you so wish. The expiry date, the date on which the rental will be removed from the Vuokraovi.com service, is four weeks from the publication date. Your rental will be displayed in the Vuokraovi.com service after a short delay.
Under Contact information displayed, you can check your contact information and change it if necessary.
You can publish your posting with the Publish button. Alternatively, you can clear the form with the Reset form button or return to the previous page with the Previous page button.
The Rentals tab in the MyVuokraovi service shows the published postings, unfinished postings, and passive postings. You can edit the postings, make them passive or active, remove them, and create new postings.
The address of the rental is displayed under Published rentals. You can access the rental page by clicking the address link.
You can edit a published posting with the Edit button. If you want to make a published posting passive, click the Passivate button. A passive posting will remain visible in the MyVuokraovi service but will be removed from Vuokraovi.com. You can activate the posting later. Activation of a posting corresponds to a new posting, which means that it must be paid for again and the rental number will change.
If you want to remove a published posting from the service, click the Remove button. If you remove a posting, it will be removed from the Vuokraovi.com and MyVuokraovi services and cannot be activated again. If you want to make it easier to post your rental in the Vuokraovi.com service again later, it is a good idea to make it passive. You can then edit the rental and reactivate it via the MyVuokraovi service.
By clicking the Visitors button, you can see how many times your rental has been viewed.
You can highlight your rental in the service to make it more noticeable. Click the Buy extra visibility link.
A yellow logo and background colour make the rental stand out on the list page. You can add a marketing slogan for your rental. The slogan will be displayed on list page, rental page and the watchdog emails. The logo is always the same. The price of the highlighting is 20 euros for the entire validity period of the rental posting.
Click the Pay button and check the invoice, including the total sum. Payment is possible through an online banking service only. Select your bank and enter your bank login information. Click the Go to net bank button. The connection is secure.
If you want to preview an unfinished posting, click the Preview button. If you want to continue filling in an unfinished posting, click the Edit button. To remove an unfinished posting from the service, click the Remove button.
Back to topIf you want to temporarily remove a rental posting from the Vuokraovi.com service, you can make it passive. When you want to publish the posting again, you need not re-enter the rental information; instead, you can conveniently activate the posting.
To view a passive posting, click the Preview button. If you want to edit the passive posting, click the Edit button. If you wish to activate the posting, click the Activate button. To completely remove a passive posting from the Vuokraovi.com service, click the Remove button.
On the activation summary page, you can preview your posting and select the desired service package. To pay for the activation, click the Pay button. If you want to return to the previous page, click the Cancel button. After the activation, your posting is assigned a new rental number.
The Applications tab shows your rental applications and any unfinished applications.
Your rental application may be valid for either three or six months, depending on the practices of the agency receiving the application. The Show agencies link lists the agencies to which you have sent your rental application. You can print the application with the Print button and remove it from the service with the Remove button.
To resume completion of a draft application, click the Continue filling in the application link. If you want to create a new rental application, click the New application button.
If you are logged in to the MyVuokraovi service, you can start making a rental application directly from the Vuokraovi.com front page. You can also start making a rental application from the MyVuokraovi page with the Add new button, or on the Applications tab. On Vuokraovi.com, you can apply for rentals from all agencies involved that accept applications. Fill in the pages of the application form according to the type of rental home you are seeking.
When applying for a home with a state loan or interest subsidy, the applicant must provide the landlord with the required appendices to the application upon signing of the rental contract.
The application data will not be disclosed to third parties. The data is sent only to landlords selected in the application. Once the application has been sent, it becomes the responsibility of the receiving agency. The Vuokraovi.com service merely conveys the information and is not responsible for tenant selection.
The steps in filling the rental application form include Rental wish, Rental agency, Applicant data, and Preview. Start filling in the application by clicking the Start filling in the application button. To return to the previous page, click the Cancel button.
Specify the location in which you are seeking a home. The region is mandatory information. You may make the location more specific by selecting the municipality and district. Next, select the desired accommodation type, housing type, and number of rooms.
You can specify the amount of rent, living area, and year of construction. Under Features, you can specify, for example, the condition of the home, the availability date, and the contract period. To move to the next step, click the Next page button. To return to the previous page, click the Exit without saving button. If you want to clear the form, click the Reset button.
The agencies shown on the Rental agency tab depend on the location and type of the home you have specified in your rental application. For example, if you are applying for a home with a state loan or interest subsidy in the Pirkanmaa region, the agencies that offer such homes in the region are listed on the page.
If no agencies match your criteria, return to the Rental wish tab and change the desired location or accommodation type.
On the Rental agency tab, you can select the agencies to which to send your application. If you want your application to be sent to all agencies offering homes that meet your wishes, click the All checkbox.
If you want to select a certain agency, click the checkbox next to its name.
Click the Next page button to continue or the Previous button to return to the previous page. Alternatively, you can clear the form with the Reset button or return to the previous page with the Exit without saving button.
Mandatory fields in the applicant data are marked with an asterisk. However, it is a good idea to provide as much information as possible. If you want to stand out from other applicants, you can create a personal info card with the Create infocard button. If you have already created an info card, click the Attach infocard link.
You can tell more about yourself in the info card, including your training, income level, etc., and can add a picture of yourself. To confirm the information and return to the Applicant data page, click the Save button. If you do not wish to save the info card, click the Exit without saving button.
Select at least one desired contact method. If you are applying with other people, selectYes.
Click the Next page button to continue or the Previous button to return to the previous page. Alternatively, you can clear the form with the Reset button or return to the previous page with the Exit without saving button. If you wish to save a draft of the application, click the Save as a draft button. You can continue filling in a draft application via the MyVuokraovi service.
Fill in the other applicant’s information under Applicant 2. If other people will be moving in, fill in the information under Additional tenants. Click the Add applicant button to increase the number of applicants.
Click the Next page button to continue or the Previous button to return to the previous page. Alternatively, you can clear the form with the Reset button or return to the previous page with the Exit without saving button. If you wish to save a draft of the application, click the Save as a draft button. You can continue filling in a draft application via the MyVuokraovi service.
If you are applying for a home with a state loan or interest subsidy, you need to fill in the Extra tab of the rental application.
As of 1 April 2008, income limits are no longer applied in tenant selection for homes with a state loan or interest subsidy. In spite of this, tenants are still selected on the basis of social grounds and financial needs. Accordingly, you should fill in the information about your current home and income level as well as any additional information as accurately as possible. The other applicant’s income data must be filled in as well.
Click the Next page button to continue or the Previous button to return to the previous page. Alternatively, you can clear the form with the Reset button or return to the previous page with the Exit without saving button. If you wish to save a draft of the application, click the Save as a draft button. You can continue filling in a draft application via the MyVuokraovi service.
The preview feature allows you to check the information you have entered. If you do not wish to send the application yet, you can save a draft by clicking the Save draft button. By clicking the Exit without saving button, you can return to the page from which you started making the application. To move to the previous page, click the Previous page button. To send your application to the selected agencies, click the Send button.
Your favourites are a list of interesting rentals that you have saved by using the Add to favourites feature. The list can be easily accessed later, and the desired rentals remain on it. If the rental is removed from the Vuokraovi.com service, it is removed from the favourites as well.
On the Favourites tab, you can send the list to friends or remove a favourite from the list. To remove a favourite, click the checkbox next to the home type and click the Remove from favourites button.
